It is with deep regret that Brookside/Knollwood/Planters Row has decided to not have a swim team this summer. Under the current, newly released DHEC Regulations and Governor McMaster’s orders, we cannot see the possibility of having what we have all known the swim team to represent for our kids. Following the new guidelines hinders the social aspects that our swimmers look forward to and long for as a part of their summer memories. As much as this breaks the hearts of your SAIL Reps and your coaches, that decision was made for the health and safety of our swimmers and their families.

We understand that this is a crazy and uncertain time for everyone involved. We will be watching for these guidelines to loosen in the coming weeks. Should we see that we can put together team bonding type gatherings or clinic type events, we will let you know. We would love nothing more than to keep our swim family together. We want to see our Barracudas as soon as it is safe.

As we figure out what events we may be able to hold, we would like to offer a team shirt to commemorate our undefeated quarantine season for purchase. We will add this to the team store and will share how to purchase that when the time comes. Otherwise, if you have already registered and paid, we will be returning your registration fee to you in the near future. The team thanks you for your hopeful support this year.
