Below is a Welcome Letter from Canebrake with details for tomorrow’s meet. Also, attached are:
Final Volunteer Assignments – please review so you are aware of where you are assigned. There were a few adjustments made and I realize that I did not include the Tent Parent assignments on the original form. We NEED 2 more tent parents for the second half. Divisional rules say that if a swimmer misses one of their events, they are scratched for the remainder of the meet. We would hate to have this happen to one of our swimmers because they didn’t get to Clerk of Course on time. All volunteer assignments have been updated in Swimtopia.
Athlete Check In Report – please write the name of your swimmer on their arm to assist Clerk of Course and Timers be sure they have the right swimmer in the right lanes.
Heat Sheet – there have been no changes but I wanted all of the information in one place for you.
Hello Gold Division families. The Crocs are looking forward to hosting you at the Canebrake Pool on Saturday, July 10th for our Gold Divisional Championship swim meet. Here are the meet details:
- Pool Location: Our pool is located at 101 Kings Mountain Drive in Greer
- Team Warm Ups:
6:30am - Canebrake
6:50am - BMSW
7:10am - KWPR (please arrive by 6:50 am to get settled before warmups)
7:30am - WGBC
7:50am - Bent Creek
- Parade: 8:15am
- Meet Start: 9:00am
Parking: All visitors are asked and encouraged to park in the Buena Vista Elementary Parking lot (310 S Batesville Rd, Greer). The parking lot at the pool is reserved and only accessible with a parking tag.
Drop of Swimmers: Swimmers can be dropped off on the sidewalk in front of the pool on Kings Mountain Drive.
Team Set Up: Your team areas are located on our tennis and basketball courts.
Deck Rules: No chairs are allowed to be set up by spectators on deck. Spectators are allowed to watch their swimmer but we ask that you don’t remain on the deck for the duration of the meet. Simply come into watch your child swim and then exit so as to allow other parents the same opportunity to see their children swim. Spectators must stay out of the clerk of course area and behind the yellow ropes at all times. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises during the entire meet (this is a SAIL Rule).
Hanging out during the meet: Grassy areas surrounding the tennis courts and a food court in the parking lot are wonderful areas to hang around in while waiting for your child to swim. Chairs can be set up out there with tents to provide shade. (this is like tailgating just without any alcohol)
Volunteers: Please check in with your home team volunteer coordinator.
Concessions: We will have the food truck from Sonny’s Grill on Main food at the meet serving breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks, candy, and drinks. Sonny’s accepts cash and credit. Concessions will only accept cash.
Severe Weather Plan: In the event of severe weather, we will follow SAIL’s Severe Weather Policy. We will plan to have the referee, SAIL reps, and lifeguard meet to evaluate conditions at the Volunteer Table. If we clear the deck, everyone will be asked to return to their cars. I will email/text you when swimmers can return to the pool area.
