Hello Barracuda Parents! The season is right around the corner. We hope you are as excited as we are.  LOTS of information is in this email so please read through it all.

Below is the training schedule for Officials.  All training classes this year are in person and will be held at the Greenville Marriott on the Parkway, unless otherwise noted. Once your training is complete, please click Here to take the appropriate certification test. All tests must be completed no later than Saturday, May 28. While no training class is offered for Timers, we ask that all parents complete the Timer Certification Test. Our team is small and we need every parent to be able and willing to be a Timer if needed. Runners are also an essential part of our volunteer pool. If you like to keep moving, a Runner takes timer sheets from the Timers and delivers them to the Computer Operator.

We have lost several of our past officials and some of our senior officials have children that will graduate soon and we are in need of some of you to try something new and become a Stroke and Turn Judge, Referee, Clerk of Course, or Chief Timer. As an added incentive for those never before certified in these positions, once you attend training and are certified in these areas, we will return $20.00 of swim fees paid for one swimmer to you. (Should both parents become certified in these areas, we will return this fee for up to 2 swimmers.) Contact the SAIL reps for more information.

Our volunteers are important to us and there is no better place to watch your child swim than at the edge of the pool. It is also expected that you are volunteering for at least one half of the meet if your child is swimming in the meet.  Please let us know if you have questions.

You must complete the SAIL Officials online certification for the following positions:

• Runner – certify
• Timer – certify (All parents must certify)
• Chief Timer – certify
