Registration Reminder and Fit Suit reminder!
Welcome back Barracuda families! We are so excited to see you again this year.
It’s time to kick off Swim Season 2025! (Lots of information is listed below, so please read carefully.)
Registration is OPEN. Please go ahead and register as soon as possible. We are required to pay dues to SAIL the first week of May. With that said, please register your swimmer no later than May 1. Visit http://www.kwprbarracudas.swimtopia.com/ and bookmark us! Once you have registered your swimmer, get the app!
We are using Dolphin's Bionic from Augusta Swim Supply. There is a link to order your swimmer’s suit in the registration process and it is also listed in the Team Store. The link is www.augustaswimsupply.com, click on login. The username is KWPR, password 1234. Fit suits have arrived for fitting! If you are unsure of sizing especially with a new suit this year, reach out to Sarah and we can set up a day/time to try on. Suits will be shipped together after the first week of practice.
This year's registration fee will stay at $120 and includes a T-shirt and swim cap (and very minimal fundraising.) If you choose NOT to pay online, payment is due within 7 days of registration. Please make your check out to KWPR Swim Team. If you do not register your RETURNING swimmer by the 1st of May, there will be a $10.00 late fee per swimmer to cover additional expenses. ALL registration fees must be paid prior to the start the first practice.
Our first practice will be on Tuesday May 6th at Knollwood Pool. This will be a land practice to begin conditioning. Please be sure your swimmer has running shoes for practice. Practice times are listed below.

Swim meets are scheduled for May 22nd, May 29th, June 5th, June 12th, and June 19th and have been posted in Swimtopia. We have jumped up to a new divisiton, so meet locations will be new for all of us! We are planning for two home swim meets this year on June 5th and June 19th. Spirit Week is June 23-27. Divisionals will be held on June 27th 11 & Up @ 4:30pm and June 28th 10 & Under at 9am. Both days will be held at Holly Tree Country Club. Championships and Classics are July 12-13 at Greenville County Aquatics Center.
All officials training with be completed virtually on the SAIL Swimtopia Website. We are asking that all tenured parents train to be an official. We are a very small team and have many positions that need to be filled to run a meet. We only have one referee and one starter for the past few years but should have 3 people qualified in each of those positions. We need Stroke and Turn judges as well. We need at least 8 S&T so parents are not forced to work the entire meet. Please if you are a returning parent, step up to help officiate the meet. Once you complete the training, you will be required to shadow both halves of a meet so that you feel comfortable in your new position.
Lastly, in years past, swimmer participation was not determined based on parent volunteering. As we have struggled in the past, as a parent, if you have not signed up to work the meet, then your child will be removed from the meet. Please help our meets run effectively with as much parent participation as possible. For a summer swim team, we keep our fees extremely low due to the amount of volunteering we do and we want to keep it this way. Please reach out if you have any questions about the training and what different jobs require.
If there are any questions, please contact your SAIL Reps (Sarah Kelleher, Lisa Hogan, and Christi Kunzweiler). We look forward to seeing you soon!
